Jason's knife is a key prop in the film, both in plot and connotations. The knife is intended to be a souvenir of sorts from being in the army. When attacking Caesar, so chooses his trusty weapon to do the job. The candle is a mild hint to Jason's religious beliefs, and marks the transition into night. The scissors bear little significance in the film, but Jason may be removing his daughter from these images. The shovel seen briefly in the footage is simply what Jason intends to use to dispose of Caesar's body if he succeeds.
